After a period of three years, without the discovery of new leads, forensic evidence or key investigative findings, murder cases are labelled as “cold cases”.
In the past, this label would suggest the case might go unsolved for years and possibly even forever.
Cold Cases Reopened follows the extraordinary stories of investigators who have brought long overdue justice to the victims of years and decades-old cold cases by using newer technologies or forensic testing to discover new potential leads.
